Years ago I realized God was real and I needed God in my life.

The next logical step was to join the millions of people before us that have come to that same conclusion. I was so confused on who God really was. I knew there was a God, but I just didn't know who He was. The most important step was to invite God into my life.  We simply talk to God in a simple sincere prayer telling him that we have sinned, we need Him and we give our life to Him. We choose to accept Jesus Christ, God's Son as our personal Lord and Savior.  Our prayer just needs to be an honest sincere prayer from our heart as we are making a choice to give our life to God similar to choosing to marry someone. God is also fully committing to us. If we pray a sincere prayer, God accepts that and we are now a child of God. We need to learn how to have Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  So we read and study the criptures to learn who God is and how He works. We become a child of God by God's grace and we are not saved by our works or by obeying God's laws. God will then start the work of making us a new creation in Him, as we trust His Word.

Sinner's Prayer of Salvation

God reaching sml“Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Please forgive me of my sin. Wash me and cleanse me. Set me free. Jesus, thank You that You died for me. I believe that You are risen from the dead and that You are the real Son of God.  Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Give me an understanding of how to live the life that is had in Jesus Christ, and a passion for others who are lost, living in darkness.  I hunger for the things of God and to see God move in my life.

Thank you for saving me; I am now born again, I am forgiven and I’m on my way to Heaven.  I choose to have Jesus in my heart."

You are now a new creation in Christ.

You may look the same, but you are now in the kingdom of God and legally a child of God.  You start all over as a baby and the Bible is your trustworthy manual, your guide.  Read it, study it, and believe it, in context.   Fellowship regularly with other believers, as it will help us to understand correct context and build meaningful relationships.  As a believer, seek out and attend a Bible based, loving, and supportive church that you can attend regularly. Pray to God and discuss with Him what is on your heart.  Know that He hears your prayers, even if you do not understand yet how everything works.  God supplies us with abundant grace as He knows we will mess up over and over again.  Each time you fall in sin, get back up, repent of what you did wrong, and continue on with God.  Satan would love to use your mistakes to separate you from God.  It is like a parent and their child.  A parent doesn't disown their child when they mess up.

It is the most important decision you have ever made.  The devil will try to make you doubt that you now are actually saved, but the devil is a liar.  Choose to make your decisions based on what the Bible says, taking it in context, rather on your feelings, your natural beliefs, or what you want.  Remember God makes everything beautiful in His time, yes His, time.

"He hath made every thing beautiful in his time"    (Ecl 3:11)

The Bible Studies on this website are there so as to help you grow.   What is preached by your Pastor should not conflict much as seasoned Christians should be preaching a similar message.  Your pastor is not perfect and neither are we.  The Bible is always your final authority on what is true.

"If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son."     ( 1st John 5:9)

Trying to Grow?

Playing Games with God?

People rarely admit that they have been subconsciously playing games with God.

Are you and I playing games with God to keep our lives under our own control?  Since part of who God is, is perfect truth, perfect love, and perfect righteousness, would it be wise for us to put Him in His rightful place truly as God in our lives?

Even when you talk to people on a personal level they are so often not aware of their playing games with God.  Instead they will usually say one of three different views.

1.) that  they don't understand God, or

2.)  they wish God would make things plainly visible to them, or

3.) they already have God.

Yet almost everyone ou us plays a hidden subconscious game with God for who is in contron. God's plan works perfectly and He does not change.  God will not corrupt His perfection to get things to line up with our normal.  Our normal is a twisted version of reality.  When we start to line up our understanding with God's reality, we start to begin to realize just how true the Word of God actually is.

What is quite interesting is, when a person is in a man made religion, they still are playing this same subconscious game with God. Most man made religions initially look like they have the truth.  This is also true for Christians.  The only way to know if our religion is real, is to carefully study the scriptures and prove all things.

When they crucified Jesus Christ, they were playing religious games with God.  They thought they won, but in reality, they lost.  These were the brightest, most educated people of the day.  Today is no different.  Even educated and highly educated religious people often are unaware that they are playing games with God.  God knows all about it.

So how do we get out of this deception?  As we get older, we realize that when we play games with God we cannot win.  God always wins in the end.  We would be wise to learn how God made things work and then bring our lives in line with that reality.  There is only one source and that is the scriptures that our Bibles are translated from.  They have proven trustworthy and we should choose to believe what they say.

That would mean we should learn how God says we are made and how we should interact with Him.  Each part of us that God has made, God has a plan and a purpose on how it is to be used.  Yes we have to do the work necessary to learn this in order to be an overcoming child of God. Works are not a requirement of salvation, but they do show our belief in the God of salvation.

This means we should learn the difference between thinking, believing, and knowing from God's perspective.  Even educated people often get these mixed up.  God has specific meanings for each of them.  Also God has specific functions for the six parts of a person that are listed in the scriptures.  God put that information in the Bible for us to search out and understand and make our daily decisions by faith accordingly.
